What materials are my Tagz® made from?
A/ Currently Tagz® are available in Anodised Aluminium or Polished Steel.
Other materials including Plastics and Carbon Fibre will be available in the near
future watch our product news page for details and launch dates.
Are Tagz® available in different colours?
A/ Yes. Gold - Silver - Black - Blue - Green - Purple - Pink and Polished
Steel. The engraving can be left in its production finish or it can be blackened
out. Check out examples in our Tagz® Gallery.
Are Tagz® Indestructible?
A/ Tagz® are very robust and durable and will survive almost anything.
Engraving is achieved by using Diamond tip tools to a depth up to 2mm so details
won't 'rub off'. Avoid exposure to corrosive liquids or substances and intense heat. Engraving may tarnish if in
prolonged exposure to salt water or some swimming pool chemicals.
How can I keep my Tagz® looking good?
A/ Tagz® like any other jewelry will eventually begin to look grubby and the metal may begin to show signs of tarnish. To keep your Tagz® looking great, avoid prolonged contact with salt
water or chemical agents such as chlorine. If you have been using your Tagz® in a 'wet' environment it is advisable to wash them in a mild soapy solution to remove any elements which
may tarnish the engraving. Using a brand, jewelry cleaner occasionally if your Tagz® are heavily tarnished may help.
Your rubber silencers can become dry and brittle. To avoid this occasionally apply a little Vaseline or similar product to the rubber.
Can I change my personal details?
A/ Yes. There are two ways in which your details may be changed.
1. By changing the appearance or style of your Tagz® (requires purchase of new Tagz®)
2. By visiting the Members page and altering your personal data page.
How is my information recorded on my Tagz®?
A/ Tagz® are engraved using the latest computer engraving technology. Diamond
tipped engraving tools are used to permanently engrave your details onto your
Tagz®
Does the company have a privacy policy?
A/ Yes, check out our obligations on our legal and privacy policy pages.
Who will have access to my personal details?
A/ Your personal details are protected by a series of security measures
which are designed to allow access to particular levels of information of your
choice. Emergency Services, Medical, Fire and Police are what we call 'Super
Users' and they have their own unique access process which allows them to view
all of your details in the event of an emergency. Their access history is recorded
in order that we can monitor their use of the service.
'passers by' will be able to access as much information as you want to allow
access to. You choose the access levels.
How much do Tagz® cost?
A/ Tagz® come in a variety of prices depending on what you want.
The entry level price for a basic set of Tagz® is €25.00. Visiting
our order page where you will find all prices listed. Our shopping cart buy
and build tool automatically calculates the cost of your purchase for you.
Is there a Membership subscription?
A/ Yes, although this is optional. If you decide to take up the option
to record detailed information on your secure Tagz® Member page then there
will be an annual subscription charge. The first year is free. The annual subscription
thereafter is €15.00.
Can I order Tagz® for someone else?
A/ Yes. There are two ways to do this:
1/ You can order Tagz® for someone else and have them delivered to your own address so you can personally hand them over as a gift.
2/ You can order Tagz® as a gift for someone else and choose to have them sent directly to that person. We can include a short message from you with the Tagz®
If I order Tagz® for someone else can I have them gift wrapped?
A/ We offer gift wrapping as an additional service. Check out the 'send as a gift' order page for full details.
How can I pay for my Tagz®?
A/ You can pay for your Tagz® purchases by using any of the following methods:
Credit cards: we accept Visa or MasterCard.
Debit cards: we accept any debit card carrying the Laser logo.
Credit & Debit card payments can be processed in the following currencies: Euro, US Dollar & Pound Sterling
Cheque: we accept only €uro cheques drawn on an Irish Bank
Cash: we can only accept cash where we have a point of sale at Shows or Exhibitions.
How secure are credit/debit card payments?
A/ Online payments are processed by Worldpay, a leading online payments processor.
Transactions are processed over a secure connection and credit card numbers are not held or stored by The Personal Tagz Company Ltd.

How do my Tagz® help the Emergency Services?
A/ Those Emergency Services who have registered as users can access your personal data base to retrieve more detailed information about you in the event of an accident or
emergency. It is important to remember that they can only access information which you have elected to give them access to. This service is offered free to all Emergency Services, The
Personal Tagz® Company Ltd does not levy any charge against the Emergency Services and does not receive any form of funding from these organisations.
Are all the Regional Health, Police or Fire Services registered as users?
A/ No, not as yet. Registering and Training these organisations in the use of our service is a mammoth task which we have been working hard on for many months now. Coverage is
increasing steadily month by month.
Should I be concerned about this?
A/ No. Your Tagz® carry the most essential 'first aid' emergency information which will greatly assist the Emergency Services in their treatment of you. All of the information we
engrave on your Tagz® is important, not least the Next of Kin (NOK) contact number which will allow them to immediately contact someone who will be able to give them more information
about you.
What if I don't want to be a Tagz® Club Member?
A/ You are under no obligation as a Tagz® wearer to join the Tagz® Wearers Club. You can still wear your Tagz®
but your detailed personal information will not be held on our database.
What if I only want my name nickname or my own message engraved on my Tagz®?
A/ Go to 4UTagz® and fill in the order form. We cannot engrave anything which is deemed inappropriate, e.g. foul language,
anything with sexist or racist connotations etc. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for details.
Is the neck chain supplied with my Tagz® safe?
A/ A light beaded neck chain is supplied with your Tagz®. The chain is fitted with an easy break connector.
The chain or connector will break if subjected to excessive force.
Can I buy extras or accessories for my Tagz®?
A/ Yes. You can buy extra or replacement parts for your Tagz®. Chains,
rubber silencers, yellow alert stickers, bike stickers and visor
stickers can all be bought separately. Other Tagz® extras will soon be
available. Visit our Tagz® accessories page to make your order.
I can't find my nationality on the order page, what can I do?
A/ We can engrave any nationality you want. If you can't find your nationality on the order page then just drop
us an email and we'll add it to the list. Then you can go ahead and order your Tagz®.
How long can I expect to wait for delivery of my order?
A/ Our ordering system accepts orders 24 hours a day 365 days a year although our 'normal' working hours are 0800hrs until 1730hrs, GMT, Monday to Friday. Any orders made between the hours of 1700hrs and 2359hrs will not be processed until the following day except orders made between 1700hrs and 2359hours on a Friday which will normally be processed on the following Monday. Orders made on a Saturday will normally be processed on the following Monday whilst orders made on a Sunday will normally be processed on the following Tuesday. Orders are normally crafted 3 days after we receive and process your order depending on how busy we are. We close on all Irish Bank Holidays and other published Irish national holidays. We normally ship your order within two weeks of receiving your order. If there is a problem with your order we will attempt to make contact with you by either email or telephone. We ask you to allow at least 21 days for delivery (you would normally receive your order well within this period) to allow for postal delays which can be very unpredictable.
